Shrugs from the rack position
work the traps differently from the standing shrug.
Clean two kettlebells to the rack position. From the
shoulder packed position simply shrug the shoulders.
Because the bells are held in front, the stimulus to the
traps will be different as you will feel the scapula
area become more involved to help counter balance the
kettle bells being held in front.
The same movement may be done with one kettlebell in the
racked position. A more focused contraction and shrug
may be obtained with this option.
This movement will help with the comfort level of
holding the rack position and has carry over value to
all kettlebell pulling movements.
